Millwall Community Trust (MCT) hosted a free sports camp over the Easter holiday for children aged 5-16 years old.
The camp gave the children a chance to participate in football and multisport activities during their half-term. They were able to have fun with their friends as they learned new skills and tried their hand in different sports. There were trained coaches who guided them through each activity and provided support. At the end of each session, a hot meal was provided for all participants. Everyone had the option to take home a food box that contained ingredients that the parents and children could use to make a healthy meal together!
The camp took place in 5 different venues all over Southwark and adhered to all Government guidelines in place. Over 200 children signed up for the camp, where they enjoyed nine days of hot meals and activities.
Sean Daly, CEO of the Trust, was excited to bring back the camp and said: “As always the club and the Community Trust likes to offer positive activities in the school holidays for supporting children and families during this time, and this Easter saw great attendance numbers on the camps.”
The camp was a success, and MCT looks forward to hosting more free camps for the children in the community.
