Millwall Community Trust’s CEO, Sean Daly, led an exciting Junior Tour at The Den this month!
The guided tour started in the Executive Lounge, where the group had a chance to look inside their gift bags and settle down with some snacks, and they received an introduction to the tour.
The junior supporters had a chance to talk to Millwall’s very own Billy Mitchell, who made a special guest appearance during the tour. Joining the group via video call, each junior member had a chance to ask Billy any question they had on their mind.
The tour continued on to a viewing of the whole pitch, while everyone got to complete quizzes and do different activities.
The group then got to get an exclusive look behind-the-scenes at different parts of The Lions' famous stadium as they went exploring from room to room.
The tour then brought the group to the Millwall museum, where the juniors learned more about the history of the club and the construction of the stadium.
After, taking part in more activities, the group got to go to the Press Area and meet our mascot Zampa. The juniors, alongside Zampa, got to sign their very own football contract!
To end it all, the tour took the group to the players’ walk from the dressing room, through the tunnel, and out to the dugouts. The group went on to take more pictures with Zampa, and of the stadium.
Lasting around 90 minutes, the Junior Tours was the perfect way to view the parts of the stadium you don't see on a matchday.
Sean Daly said: “It was great to guide the tour and see how excited everyone was to have an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the stadium. I recommend everyone brings our young supporters along to take the tour because it’s truly an experience you won’t forget.”
