Millwall Community Trust (MCT) are delivering a pre-season training camp as part of our Holiday, Activity and Food (HAF) programme, helping to engage older teenagers.
The HAF camp runs from 2:30pm-6:30pm weekdays at St Paul’s Sports Ground, Rotherhithe for young people who receive free school meals.
Millwall Community Trust's free of charge HAF Camp runs during the school holidays and are a great opportunity for young people to have fun, develop their skills and make new friends in a safe and structured environment and provides a free hot meal every day for each participant.
Providing these HAF Camps for older teenagers allows them to gear up for the new campaign by taking part in a pre-season programme which mirrors what professional players go through.
Tim Sells, MCT Football and Sports Development Manager said: “It’s fantastic to be able to offer teenagers such an amazing opportunity. Previously we have only provided fun sessions for young children, but we are now able to give our local teenagers a really meaningful programme throughout the Summer.
“All of the young people who attend the pre-season programme will not only receive top tier coaching and sessions, but they will also be provided with nutritional advice and fitness programmes, ensuring they understand the effects of an unhealthy lifestyle. We’re extremely proud to be able to offer this fantastic opportunity to the young people of Southwark.”
