Millwall Football Club is proud to unveil a mural in memory of Matija Sarkic.
Based in the Cold Blow Lane concourse, the painting, created by the Wizy, Rats & Taz collective, has been completely funded by Millwall Supporters' Club in a kind gesture.
The mural is unveiled in anticipation for Saturday's Sky Bet Championship fixture against Watford, in which The Lions will remember Mati before kick-off.
"It's the best thing we could do with our money, something like this," said Kathryn Gale, Chairwoman of the MSC. "It will be there for a long time - as long as the club is here - and it's a perfect tribute to Mati and how highly he was regarded here.
"It's at his end (for the half the match at least!) so it's perfectly placed."
The Wizy, Rats and Taz Collective added: "It means everything for us to do this. Fourteen years ago, we did the Neil Harris mural outside the stadium, so to be contacted again and given the opportunity and honour to memorialise Mati; we never dreamt that would be the case. We want to thank everything who helped us make this happen and huge credit goes to the MSC for funding this project.
"It is an absolute honour to see the mural completed. It's been great to be a part of it and pay tribute to him."
