Millwall Football Club hosted its annual ‘Community Day’ when Barnsley visited The Den on Saturday 9th April.
Community Day provided a platform for the club to showcase the wide variety of fantastic work done by Millwall Community Trust.
The day was a huge success with many activities going on. Different MCT programmes, such as PAN disability, Alternative Provision (AP) Academy and walking sports held football games.
The Junior Lions fun zone returned, professional boxer Chris ‘2Slick’ Kongo held a boxing session with the kids, a local DJ played at the SE16 Bus stop Band Stand, and so much more. Alongside the exciting activities, partner organisations of the Trust and club had stalls set up to showcase their work.
MCT’s Post-16 students, Millwall Lionesses, and Millwall Romans held a stadium-wide bucket collection to help raise funds for MCT while giving out limited edition MCT Community Day T-shirts and wristbands.
