Millwall Community Trust (MCT) and Kent Cricket Community Trust (KCCT) hosted a Press Event at our summer football and cricket programme in Sevenoaks last night.
MCT and KCCT have been delivering free sessions at Greatness Recreation Ground since the end of July from 5:30pm-7:30pm on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s where participants can learn skills in both football and cricket.
Deputy Mayor of Sevenoaks District Council, Victoria Granville was in attendance and spoke to participants about the session as well as joining in and taking part in the fun.
MCT’s Executive Vice Chairman Peter Varney and MCT CEO Sean Daly were also in attendance and showcased a great partnership and initiative in Sevenoaks.
KCCT had their Street Cricket Van at the session which allows children to play video games and learn how to mix songs on a specialist DJ set.
BBC Radio Kent interviewed participants and parents on the benefits of the programme.
Sean Daly, MCT CEO said: “What a brilliant evening in Sevenoaks!
“It was fantastic to see so many councillors from the local area as well as the Deputy Mayor of Sevenoaks where they were able to see a brilliant programme in action.
“This is what Millwall Community Trust is all about, giving opportunities to our local community and we’d like to thank Kent Cricket Community Trust for their hard work in what has been a brilliant partnership so far.”
