Millwall Community Trust’s Premier League Inspires programme works with schools across Lewisham and Southwark to give young people an empowering and positive experience.
The programme helps students build confidence, develop life skills, and reach their full potential through a wide range of activities. These include small group workshops, one-to-one mentoring, thematic events, careers days, before and after-school clubs, and targeted support around behaviour and attendance.
Each session is designed to encourage students to reflect, set goals, and build the skills they need for the future. Whether it’s developing teamwork, improving confidence, or exploring career pathways, the programme gives every participant the chance to grow both personally and socially.
Our experienced and caring team deliver engaging, curriculum-linked sessions during term-time, working closely with schools to support pupils who may need extra guidance.
By using the power of football, we’re able to connect with young people aged 11–18 in a way that feels relevant and inspiring — helping them to stay engaged, motivated, and focused on achieving their goals.
Through Premier League Inspires, we aim to:
Support students to improve their wellbeing
Develop character, confidence, and key life skills
Help schools improve attendance and engagement
Provide access to new experiences and opportunities
Equip students with the tools to plan for their future and be work-ready
