Conisborough College Millwall Aspire AP Academy players beat North West Kent Alternative provision service 7-1 at the Lions Centre.

It was an opportunity for both sides to get a run out and a chance for Conisborough College Millwall Aspire players to play their first match this year as a team.

The game was an hour long, with both halves 30 minutes each in what was a much anticipated match.

The game was organised, coached and managed by the students.  Coach Raheem Ajiboluwa who was the chosen Manager for the group and already scouted and signed up for Millwall AP Elite Coaching pathway and during the post match interview said “We started off on a high press as our dangerman Tykel scored two goals in the first minutes.

“From there we were pressing collectively as a group which was our pre match agreedaim and led to us being 4-0 up at half time.

“My overall thoughts of the game was we dominated against a very committed opponent , we played as a team, we didn’t argue, and our goalkeeper stayed alert and was on point only conceding one goal.

“Tykel in his unfamilar role in the team set up showed great energy and also saw him score a hat-trick as well. There is still a lot of stuff to improve for upcoming matches, but this can achieved by us doing more training as this is our first match, which will help us carry out the plan better.

“Special praise to Ayoola for dominating the midfield as well as Jacob who scored the goal of day and believe has already been identified for Millwall post 16 Academy next year.”

John Scarborough Education and Employability Manager said "Was great to see the team play so hard for each other and develop their leadership skills as they all undertake specific roles on the days. The team they played today showed really commitment,  and kept going till the end and particularly their captain who led his team by example throughout".

"It was great to see Raheem take the group today and further build his Coaching portfolio as he soon embarks on his FA Coaching course with the trust when he turns 16 soon. Raheem has natural coaching manner and  instinct and respect he gets from his peers was evident as they carried out his clear instructions and formation".
