On Tuesday afternoon, the Millwall U21's made a visit to the Millwall Community Trust's (MCT) October Half-Term Multi-Sports Holiday Camp, held at The Lions Centre. Stepping onto the scene at 2pm, the U21's wasted no time immersing themselves in the world of sports.
The indoor astroturf became their stage as they watched intently, not just as spectators, but as referees for the football matches that unfolded before them.
Their presence served to enhance the atmosphere, as they praised the young athletes for their exceptional skills, showering encouragement and support upon the budding participants.
The interaction extended beyond the sports arena, as the U21's ventured into the Arts and Crafts section.
Here, they took an active role in nurturing the children's artistic talents, guiding them through creative exercises and even getting their own hands busy with drawing.
Tim Sells, the Football and Sports Development Manager at Millwall Community Trust, shared his excitement about the visit, saying: “What a superb afternoon as the Under-21’s visited one of our half-term camps here at The Lions Centre. The children who were fortunate to be a part of this unforgettable day undoubtedly relished every moment of it. Such moments are the essence of inspiration, igniting the dreams of young people and motivating them to reach for the stars.”
The camps operate during every half term and run from 10am-3pm daily, offering children the opportunity to remain physically active during the holidays and to make new friends.
