Millwall Community Trust (MCT) Women’s and Girls’ Football/Sport Ambassador Romain Esse, first-team captain Shaun Hutchinson and Alfie Massey visited MCT’s Holiday, Activity and Food (HAF) Camp at The Lions Centre yesterday.

Millwall Community Trust's free of charge HAF Camps runs during the school holidays and are a great opportunity for children to have fun, improve their skills and make new friends in a safe and structured environment.

The free HAF camps are for children who receive free school meals, and every child will receive a free hot lunch every day.

The trio of players engaged with the children whilst playing fun games such as Connect Four and Twister.

Following on from this the children were able to ask the players questions in a Q&A before posing for their photograph with them.

Tim Sells, Millwall Community Trust’s Football and Sports Development Manager said: “What a great experience for the children to have Alfie Massey, Shaun Hutchinson and Romain Esse visit them during the Holiday, Activity and Food Camps at The Lions Centre yesterday.

“Being able to provide opportunities such as these to local children is something we are all very proud of, especially for families within our community who may be suffering from financial hardship.

“Our aim is to make every day on these camps special for the children, and having the first team players pop in and say hello certainly does that!”
