Millwall FC First-Team Player Danny McNamara visited Millwall Community Trust’s (MCT) Holiday, Activity and Food (HAF) Camps at The Lions Centre this afternoon.

Millwall Community Trust's free of charge HAF Camps runs during the school holidays and are a great opportunity for children to have fun, improve their skills and make new friends in a safe and structured environment.

The free HAF camps are for children who receive free school meals, and every child receives a free hot lunch every day.

McNamara started the visit by taking part in a Q&A where the children were able to ask questions they’ve always wanted to know the answers to.

After this, the right-back encouraged the children from the sidelines as the participants took part in small sided matches.

McNamara then finished the afternoon by taking photographs with the children and signing autographs.

Millwall Community Trust’s Football and Sports Development Manager, Tim Sells said: “After an incredible visit from Joe Bryan and Duncan Watmore yesterday at St Paul’s Sports Ground, Rotherhithe it was great to welcome Danny McNamara to The Lions Centre today for our HAF Camps.

“What a great experience for the children to be able to meet Danny McNamara today and be able to ask him questions and advice which will help shape their futures.

“Being able to provide opportunities such as these to local children is something we are all very proud of, especially for families within our community who may be suffering from financial hardship.

“Our aim is to make every day on these camps special for the children, and having the first team players pop in and say hello certainly does that!”
