Millwall Community Trust’s (MCT) CEO Sean Daly was invited to The Community Cupboard’s five-year anniversary event at the London Golf Club yesterday.
The Community Cupboard is made up of over forty volunteers, four staff members and four Trustees, all of whom work tirelessly to provide the best support that they can to those who need it most.
MCT hosted ‘An Evening With Neil Harris’ last year to raise crucial funds for The Community Cupboard - with £4,130 raised, with 100% of the profit going to The Community Cupboard.
Over the past 5 years they have created a welcoming, supportive and empathetic place within their community where anyone can come to ask and receive help.
‘Everyone needs a little help sometimes’ has always been their ethos and since day one, they have strived to reduce the stigma surrounding asking for help.
The Community Cupboard have supported almost 6700 individuals and provided 215,000 kilos of food and grocery support.
The Community Cupboard will soon be opening their second ‘Community Cupboard hub’ in Swanley, in partnership with Sevenoaks District Council.

Today we celebrate 5 years of our charity status and 5 years of supporting our community.
The Community Cupboard family is made up of over 40 volunteers, 4 staff members and 4 Trustees, all of whom work tirelessly to provide the best support that we can, to those who need it most.
Over the past 5 years we have created a welcoming, supportive and empathetic place within our community where anyone can come to ask and receive help.
‘Everyone needs a little help sometimes’ has always been our ethos and since day 1, we have strived to reduce the stigma surrounding asking for help.
Having supported almost 6700 individuals and provided 215,000 kilos of food and grocery support, it’s certainly been a busy time!
From community engagement, collaboration with agencies, schools, clubs and councils, our work is never done. Thank you to everyone who has, and continues to support us.
Our journey has seen us grow, going from strength to strength.
We are so excited to officially announce that we will soon be opening our second ‘Community Cupboard hub’ in Swanley, in partnership with Sevenoaks District Council Official
