Millwall Lionesses drew 2-2 against Sutton United at St Paul’s Sports Ground, Rotherhithe on Sunday afternoon.
Ted Jones’ side gained another point against The U’s after coming into the match on the back of an incredible 3-3 draw against Ebbsfleet the week prior.
Millwall started the better of the two sides and the visitors stopper had to make two good saves to keep the scores level.
The Lionesses were made until after the restart to get in front, a Ciara Watling penalty was struck into the top corner.
Ten minutes later, the lead was doubled. Again, Watling was on the scoresheet but this time with a thunderous free-kick that flew into the roof of the net.
The visitors halved the deficit just a few minutes later, after being awarded a penalty.
Millwall kept pushing for that clinching third goal but were caught on the counter attack with minutes remaining, a strike leaving Evie Thorne Ford with no chance.
Next up is a reverse fixture against Sutton United.
Millwall Lionesses: Thorne Ford, Seely, Chapman, Bennett, Huseyin, Watling, Wood, Napper, Giordani, Lockett, Jellett.
