Millwall Lionesses thrashed Barking Women 6-0 on Sunday afternoon at St Paul’s Sports Ground, Rotherhithe.

The victory over Barking means it’s four wins in a row for Ted Jones’ side and six games unbeaten.

After a beautifully observed playing of the Last Post and a two minute silence the game was underway as Millwall looked to continue their impressive recent form.

Millwall started well and took the lead after twenty minutes as Lucy Jellett finished off Chloe Francis’ delivery.

Jordan Butler had the ball in the net a few moments later but it was ruled out for offside.

It was two for The Lionesses in added time of the first-half as Mia Lockett placed the ball into the bottom right hand corner after a lovely cross from Grace Seely.

Millwall added a third ten minutes after the break as Maisie Joyce tapped home after a Ciara Watling corner.

Shay Bennett got Millwall’s fourth just after the hour mark - a bullet header finding the back of the net.

Elise Jennings was introduced in the 65th minute and immediately got Millwall’s fifth, finding the back of the net with a lovely curling effort.

Maisie Joyce got her second and The Lionesses sixth with a spectacular free-kick which hit the bar and then the back of the net to round off a superb display from Ted Jones’ side.
