Millwall Lionesses were defeated 2-1 against Tottenham Hotspur WSL Academy at The Den on Sunday.
The Lionesses came into the match on the back of a six match unbeaten run, with four wins in a row.
The visitors opened the scoring after 25 minutes after a brilliant initial save from Wright, the follow up was converted.
Spurs doubled their lead nine minutes later as a strike was smashed into the back of the net.
Millwall pulled a goal back just before half-time as Esme Johnson’s beautiful effort curled into the top right corner.
Ted Jones’ side continued to push for an equaliser in the second half as they threatened from set-pieces.
Johnson had a chance with eight minutes remaining but her effort was well saved by the visitors stopper.
Millwall Lionesses travel to Dorking Wanderers next Sunday.
