Millwall Community Trust held its annual Santa & Elf Dash event last Saturday morning - the event saw around thirty-five participants take part.
The occasion that takes place yearly saw Lions fans, and local residents enjoying the festive jog once again on the weekend before Millwall’s Championship fixture against Coventry City.
The Millwall Santa Dash took place for the very first time in 2019 and is an event where adults and children dress up in Father Christmas outfits and Elf costumes.
However, due to the weather conditions, participants weren’t able to do the normal route but that didn’t stop us as attendees took part in ten laps around the indoor astroturf in The Lions Centre before a Santa & Elf football match for both the children and adults.
The awards were presented by former Millwall Goalkeeper Bryan King who congratulated all that participated.
MCT CEO, Sean Daly said: “Due to the weather we weren’t able to do the normal route, but we still had a fantastic time! I would like to thank all that took part, Fans, Millwall Romans, and Millwall Lionesses, and was great to have Bryan King greeting the runners, and as always his support for the community trust is always appreciated, the event was a great success with all enjoying the festive fun and we have already started planning for next year’s Dash.”
