OCS in partnership with Millwall Community Trust and Good People held an Area Relief Security Officers Recruitment Event at The Lions Centre on Tuesday.

The event - that ran from 10am-3pm, saw over 200 people attend with a staggering 80 provisional job offers!

Millwall Football Club were in attendance and offered 20 jobs for their security roles.

As well as this, a tour took place at 2pm for our Employability & IAG Hub participants around The Den.

Pictures were taken pitchside before participants headed up to the boardroom, media suite and the hospitality area.

John Scarborough, MCT’s Education & Employability Manager said: “Tuesdays event evidenced the power of collaboration between employers, employer support providers and DWP accessing recognised community and aspirational industry spaces. 

“As a football and sport industry venue Millwall Community Trust Lion centre and our close proximity and working relationship with Millwall FC and the stadium ensures our close recognised position in the heart of the local community to deliver such events and engage such fantastic employment outcomes.

“The creation of the Millwall Youth Employability & IAG Hub in partnership with the  DWP and local employers and training providers  is testament of that, bringing all employment elements into one collaborative community space inline with Governments recent white paper on community based Employment strategy moving forward.”
