Millwall Community Trust and Millwall Romans were awarded second place in the 'Marketing Campaign of the Year' award at the first-ever Metro Pride Awards on Wednesday night.

The Metro Pride Awards brought together the most influential and inspiring LGBTQ+ individuals and organisations to honour and celebrate the extraordinary talent, resilience and passion that defines the community.

MCT fought off competition from the likes of Deliveroo, Uber Eats, Disney and Adidas to claim the 'highly commended' accolade and the silver medal for their 'The Romans x Millwall Romans' campaign, with Open Media the winners.

"We are incredibly proud to have been nominated in the inaugural Metro Pride Awards and to have secured second place is an amazing achievement!" said Paul Loding, Millwall Romans manager.

"A huge thank you to MCT and The Romans for their unwavering support in creating a safe space for LGBT+ footballers. We also extend our gratitude to Metro for hosting such a fantastic awards night, which recognised so many remarkable individuals in the LGBT+ community."
