Millwall Lionesses Manager Ted Jones was delighted to get back to winning ways on Sunday afternoon.

The Lionesses beat Haywards Heath 10-0 over the weekend.

Lionesses Manager Ted Jones was keen to express how pleased he was with the three points but also insist the desire to back up their impressive victory.

Millwall Lionesses Manager, Ted Jones said: “I was really happy with the result, definitely felt good to get three points and boost our confidence. As always, there's still things which we can improve on in our performance but definitely a step forwards after a tough couple of weeks.

“It's always positive when goals are coming from different players, it shows the quality and threat we have across the pitch.

“I've never seen Maisie celebrate scoring so much, but I know scoring that third goal meant Ella is driving her to training and matches for two weeks - unlucky Ella!

“We're really happy for Olivia, she grew into the game as it went on and was a great to top it off with our tenth of the game and her first for the club which should give her a massive confidence boost.

“It was always going to be tough against Fulham and I don't think those two games are a fair assessment of where we are at the moment.

“Of course we're disappointed to lose those games but we've been on a great run of results as a group so we can't be too disheartened.

“The girls have shown their togetherness over the last couple weeks, so we know they're all mentally really strong. The main focus is to try get as many points as possible out of our remaining games and finishing the season on a high!

“We’re really looking forward to Sunday, it's another opportunity to build on last week’s performance.

“We've worked hard in training this week so it's now up to us to perform on the pitch. It was a really tough game against Newhaven earlier in the season, really tough conditions but happy we won.

“We're expecting another tough game, they've made a few signings so we know they'll be stronger so we need to be at our best if we're going to win the game.”
