Millwall's Pan Disability team had a great time at the recent away matches and tournaments.
First, the Adult Championship and League 1 Teams took part in the Friendship League at the Sutton Ground in Cheam. Everyone had a lot of fun and showed some great football skills. The League 1 Team finished as runners-up in their tournament, with strong performances from Harlee, Ezechiel, and some excellent goals from Steven.
The Championship Team made progress since the last Friendship League, winning one match and drawing another. They’re working on improving their focus and communication, as sometimes they lose goals due to small mistakes. But the Millwall spirit and positive attitude were always there. I’m very proud of all the players.
We also had a fantastic trip to the Arsenal Hub, where we played a friendly match against the Arsenal Pan under-17 Team, Rhine and James deserved a special mention for their goals and performances. The staff and coaches from Arsenal were very welcoming, and we all had a great time. We also got to walk around the Emirates Stadium, take some great pictures, and we hope to come back soon with the other Pan Teams.
These trips are a great chance for all the players to build their confidence and independence while traveling around London, with support from the Millwall Community Trust Coaches.
