At Millwall’s End of Season Awards, Millwall Lionesses and Millwall Romans and Pride announced their Players of the Season.

Ciara Watling picked up for the accolade for Millwall Lionesses whilst Alec Aujla-Jones received it for Millwall Romans and Pride.

Both have had incredibly influential seasons for their sides.

Ted Jones, Millwall Lionesses Manager said: “Ciara has been exceptional for the team this season, both on and off the pitch. Her quality has been clear to see throughout the season and I can think of a few games where she has got us over the line with her goal contributions.

“Ciara is a massive asset to the team and hope she can continue performing for the Lionesses in the future! Well done Ciara, we're all proud of you!

Paul Loding, Millwall Romans Chairman said: “It was, as always, an honour to be invited to the Millwall End of Season Awards - and this year was particularly special, as it marked the first time we had the opportunity to present our Player of the Year award to a member of the Millwall Romans.

“Alec joined us two years ago, looking for a team where he could feel welcomed and simply enjoy playing football.

“Over the past year, he’s grown tremendously, both on and off the pitch. It’s a proud moment for us, and a reminder of why safe, inclusive spaces for LGBT footballers like Alec are so important.”
