Millwall Community Trust Employability & IAG Hub success stories: Claudia Tetegan.
The trust via it Employability HUB offers Employability and IAG support programmes for unemployed people of all ages and backgrounds free of charge.
This support includes 1:1 employability mentoring support delivery of weekly targeted pre-employability skills Bootcamp programmes, industry sector workshops, job fairs and recruitment events as well as training and education support.
Claudia attended Job Centre Plus, Forest Hill where she saw an Millwall Employability HUB advertisement for Millwall Community Trust’s Facilities Officer role.
After speaking to her job coach, Claudia decided to apply and was successfully shortlisted for interview.
Claudia attended the interview with Millwall’s Education & Employability Hub Manager John Scarborough and Millwall Community Trust CEO Sean Daly and was successful in getting the role which she has enjoyed ever since and has become an integral part of Millwall Community Trust.
Claudia Tetegan said: “I previously worked in the rail sector where I was for ten years.
“Following this, I went travelling and was on a temporary basis at jobs in London but decided I would like to get back into a permanent role.
“Therefore, I attended Job Centre Plus, Forest Hill and saw the advertisement for MCT’s role and I’m very pleased that I was successful.
“I’m enjoying the role, all my colleagues are really helpful and I’m learning a lot about the sector. I really enjoy face-to-face interaction and I look forward to learning more and meeting new people.”
Sheila Beckford, Job Coach at Job Centre Plus, Forest Hill said: “Despite limited interaction with Claudia, I found her very motivated in her search for a job role.
