Millwall Community Trust in collaboration with Good People ran a Security and Stewarding Job Fair on Thursday at The Lions Centre Employability & IAG Hub.
With plenty of roles available both with Millwall Football Club and agencies - there was 70 attendees on the day from Pan London.
All attendees were screened for security job roles.
Gemma Fox, Employer Engagement Manager at Good People said: “Working in partnership with our employers and Millwall creates a super hub of employment activities and removes barriers for employers saving time and money.
“We saw 70 great candidates last week and we are that most will be offered a security roles, with several of our employers.”
John Scarborough, Millwall Community Trust’s Education & Employability Manager added: “The target recruitment events delivered at the Millwall Employment Hub collaboratively with partners such as Goodpeople enable an enhanced and targeted offer for jobseekers looking to get first time access and employment or re-employment into a specific industry.
“The security and stewarding industry events ‘into the industry bootcamps’ or recruitment events delivered collaboratively with Millwall FC, Goodpeople and partners have been a massive success for straight into employment opportunity for local residents.
“Such events would not be possible without the partnerships that have been created within the Hubs developing pathway model that equally benefits partners with aspirational delivery spaces and shared co-ordination and delivery of these events ensuring those unemployed looking for support, employment and training can be supported in one consistent accessible space rather than travelling across the borough to various JCP, employement, support, training and recruitment venues."
