Millwall Community Trust hosted their Big Football Day at St Paul’s Sports Ground, Rotherhithe yesterday.

To celebrate the Women’s EURO 2025 this summer and to help make football accessible to more women and girls. 

Clubs and providers are encouraged to host a Big Football Day powered by The National Lottery Event during the month of July. 

MCT hosted theirs on Wednesday from 10am-2pm with over 70 participants in attendance and enjoying summer fun.

Throughout the day, participants enjoyed fun football activities, a football tournament and plenty of challenges to compete in.

Millwall Lionesses Goalkeeping Coach Abby Baravik delivered a masterclass in goalkeeping skills.

For the attendees that didn’t want to play football, there was face painting and arts and crafts and the day was free to attend.

The Metropolitan Police attended and brought Police horses with them for the children to learn more about their roles.

ITV News and The FA attended the day to showcase the event.

Millwall Community Trust offer a variety of girls’ session across Lewisham and Southwark including MCT’s Girls Player Performance Pathway sessions and Premier League Kicks sessions.
