Millwall Community Trust Employability & IAG Hub success stories: Runnel Hilarion
The trust via it Employability HUB offers Employability and IAG support programmes for unemployed people of all ages and backgrounds free of charge.
This support includes 1:1 employability mentoring support delivery of weekly targeted pre-employability skills Bootcamp programmes, industry sector workshops, job fairs and recruitment events as well as training and education support.
Runnel Hilarion attended Job Centre Plus, Peckham where he was referred Millwall Community Trust’s Employability & IAG Hub.
Runnel attended Millwall Community Trust’s Employability sessions where he was able to improve his confidence and helped him look for work experience, volunteering opportunities and help to improve his interview skills.
Through this, Runnel now shadows Vincent Babatunde - MCT’s IT Lead - where he assists Vincent in all of MCT’s IT support ranging from computer assistance to technology assistance.
Runnel Hilarion said: “I find Millwall Community Trust’s Employability & IAG Hub to be a great environment to improve on my skills, qualities and experience whilst also helping me perform better in interviews.”
Ade, Youth Employability Lead, Job Centre Plus, Peckham said: “It’s been brilliant to see Runnel’s progression from coming to Job Centre Plus, Peckham to where he is now.
“I’m really pleased with how he’s doing and I’m so excited to see him continue that journey.”
Vincent Babatunde, MCT’s IT Lead said: “Runnel has really benefited from the one to one approach which focuses on his particular needs and help him work out where he will go next, it’s been a pleasure to work with him so far and I’m looking forward to continuing to do so.”
