Millwall Community Trust (MCT) CEO Sean Daly and EDI Lead Jason Vincent delivered presentations at Millwall FC’s Calmont Road training facility.

MCT CEO Sean Daly, EDI Lead Jason Vincent and Safeguarding Lead Katie Whitmore were in attendance at Calmont Road.

MCT CEO Sean Daly spoke to the first-team players about the trust and what they do in the local community.

The players listened on as they were shown the areas that the Community trust work in and what programmes they deliver across Lewisham and Southwark.

EDI Lead Jason Vincent spoke through the nine protected characteristics and explained the different areas of them as a general overview.

The players learnt good practice in the EDI area and staff from both club and trust explained about reporting abuse, safeguarding, our values and the ethos around Equality, Diversity and Inclusion across both club and trust.

Sean Daly, MCT CEO said: “It was great to deliver a presentation to the players.

“I’ve always said the players are my biggest asset in the local community as they can really inspire generations.

“For the players to endorse our programmes is really important for MCT.

“I look forward to working with them again this season and welcoming them to our programmes.”

Jason Vincent, EDI Lead said: “It was excellent to be part of this very important briefing and to give the players the overview of the importance of EDI and our commitments for both club and trust to observe and practice these values on a daily basis on and off the pitch.

“I would like to thank Millwall FC’s first-team Head Coach Alex Neil for giving us the opportunity to engage with the players on this really important commitment to ensure that we all work together and put people first.”
