Millwall Community Trust Employability & IAG Hub success stories: Tommy Norman
The trust via it Employability HUB offers Employability and IAG support programmes for unemployed people of all ages and backgrounds free of charge.
This support includes 1:1 employability mentoring support delivery of weekly targeted pre-employability skills Bootcamp programmes, industry sector workshops, job fairs and recruitment events as well as training and education support.
Tommy Norman attended Job Centre Plus, Peckham where he was referred to Millwall Community Trust’s Employability & IAG Hub.
Tommy attended Millwall Community Trust’s Employability sessions where he was able to improve his confidence in CV preparation and interview skills, giving him valuable skills for his next steps.
Through this, Tommy has been able to do courses suggested by MCT’s Employability Hub in basic communication and customer service.
Tommy Norman said: “Millwall Community Trust’s Employability & IAG Hub is a friendly and helpful place where no matter who you are they are willing to help you in your next steps.
“I’ve learnt how to feel a bit more confident in myself as this was an issue before attending as well as my organisation and professionalism has improved too.”

“I’m really pleased with how he’s doing and I’m so excited to see him continue that journey and hopefully find his dream job that I know he’s capable of.”
