On World Mental Health Day 2025, Millwall TV and Millwall Community Trust highlights the Millwall SLAM Health Intervention Programme.

The SLAM (South London and Maudsley) Health Intervention Programme has a Millwall team which plays in the Adult Premiership League and welcomes anyone with mental health issues to get involved with FREE weekly football sessions, which help improve fitness and wellbeing.

MCT run a weekly, afternoon session in partnership with SLAM and Mind Charity. Participants must be referred before attending the sessions.

Football provides a platform like no other to raise awareness and tackle society’s biggest issues and Millwall is proud to offer its support in the catchment area of Lewisham and Southwark. The Millwall Lions are a team which has been formed; an example of individuals coming together whilst having fun and showing what can be achieved through the power of football.

Below, watch a video with Adrian Hernandez - a Lions fan and member of Millwall Lions - as he discusses how playing for the team is beneficial, plus his thoughts on Shoorah launching a partnership with the club, offering all season ticket holders and members FREE access.
