Millwall Football Club is proud to announce that it will provide free access to the award-winning Shoorah mental health and wellbeing app for all club members - a significant step in supporting the wellbeing of its community.
With one in four people in the UK experiencing a mental health problem each year, this marks the beginning of a new partnership between Millwall Football Club and Shoorah, a collaboration that represents a major commitment to promoting mental health support within the footballing world.
In a groundbreaking initiative, Millwall will provide FREE access to the mental health and wellbeing app for all club members, aiming to ensure that fans have tools at their fingertips to support and improve their mental wellbeing.
Shoorah, one of the UK’s most impactful mental wellbeing solutions, offers a comprehensive approach to everyday wellbeing, going far beyond traditional tools. The app focuses on prevention and early detection, helping users turn small daily actions into lifelong healthy habits.
Users can explore a wide range of features designed to support both mind and body, from personalised support tools, and holistic wellbeing features, to gamified challenges that reward users for looking after themselves. Millwall season ticket holders and members will be able to access the premium version of the app (usually £44.99 per year) FREE of charge for the duration of the initial two-year partnership, as part of their club membership. This will allow over 12,000 fans of The Lions to benefit from personalised tools to help navigate daily pressures and longer-term mental health challenges.
Fans will also have the option to explore enhanced services, such as in-app therapy and health testing integrations, which are also available within the app at additional cost.
Luke Wilson, Chief Commercial Officer at Millwall Football Club, said: "From our first conversations with the team at Shoorah, their passion for supporting mental health was immediately obvious, and providing accessible and innovative solutions is at the heart of that.
"Our Community Trust already run incredible sessions in our local community, to help support those in need, alongside mental health charities. But being able to use technology to go a step further, providing free support for all our registered fans no matter where they are in the country, felt like something really innovative we could do to help signpost issues and make a tangible difference to many more lives."
Lorri Haines, Co-Founder at Shoorah, added: "We built Shoorah from our own journeys from pain, persistence and a belief that wellbeing should be accessible to everyone, everywhere.
"Our clinical and creative teams have worked tirelessly to design something that truly meets people where they are. With over 60 interconnected features across mental, physical, and emotional health, Shoorah really does have something for everyone.
"This partnership with Millwall represents exactly what we stand for, real wellbeing, for real people, made simple."
This partnership is part of Millwall’s wider focus on wellbeing, community inclusion and mental health awareness.
By embedding Shoorah into the fabric of its supporter offering, the club hopes to create a ripple effect of positive mental health habits throughout its fanbase and beyond.
More details of how to redeem the subscription will be shared directly with all members in the coming weeks. As part of the deal, Shoorah branding will also be displayed around The Den and on the kits of several Community Trust teams, including Millwall Lionesses, Millwall Romans and Military Veterans.
