Millwall Community Trust’s (MCT) Lions Centre welcomed the NHS on Wednesday for an eight-team tournament, with participants coming together for a day of football, teamwork and friendly competition.

The event brought together eight sides, all of who enjoyed the opportunity to take part in the tournament and compete against one another in a positive and welcoming environment.

Organised by MCT Chair of Trustees Keith Soper, the tournament provided a fantastic opportunity for those involved to get active, build connections and enjoy the benefits of sport in a community setting.

Throughout the day, all eight teams took to the pitch and played their part in making the event a success, with everyone having a great time. The tournament highlighted how football can bring people together, encourage teamwork and create memorable experiences away from the workplace.

Millwall Community Trust was delighted to welcome the NHS to The Lions Centre and provide a venue for the tournament, continuing its commitment to using sport and its facilities to support the local community and wider organisations.

MCT CEO Sean Daly said: “It was fantastic to welcome the NHS to The Lions Centre for a great day of football.

"A huge thank you to Keith Soper for organising the tournament and to everyone who took part in making it such an enjoyable occasion.

"We’re proud to provide a space where people can come together, build relationships and enjoy the benefits that sport brings."
