AWS re/Start and the UpSkill Academy have teamed up to offer this free, full-time training programme to unemployed learners from marginalised communities who are interested in a career building with AWS Cloud.
They are delivering the AWS re/Start Cloud Engineering programme which is a fully-funded, 12 week bootcamp designed to equip learners with the knowledge and skills they need to secure entry-level Cloud Engineering roles.
The bootcamp runs from 9am - 5pm every day for 12 weeks. We expect a minimum of 90% attendance across the programme. You must therefore be able to commit to the entire programme before joining.
During the bootcamp participants will learn:
• How cloud computing works
• AWS Cloud skills
• How to use different programming languages such as Python and Linux
• Build skills aligned with AWS Certification prepare for the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Certification and sit the examination for free at the end of the course
• Soft skills and employability skills required to secure employment
The programme is designed to help learners from a range of backgrounds and experiences develop the skills needed to work in entry-level roles. Upon successful completion of the programme, participants will sit the AWS Cloud Practitioner examination.
Key information about the programme:
• It is free for all participants
• It lasts for 12 weeks in total
• It is a full-time programme, running between 9am and 5pm every day
• All exam fees are covered by the course
• We will provide an interview for all participants who successfully complete the AWS Cloud Practitioner exam
• Training is delivered online via Google Meets
Our training is delivered via a mix of trainer-led sessions, devised and delivered by expert trainers, hands-on practice labs, guest speaker events and online learning resources.
