London Transplant United FC have recently joined the set up at the Lions Centre Millwall Community Trust, to create community football opportunities for Organ Transplant Recipients in London.

Firstly - the club is a community hub for those who’ve had Organ Transplants (Heart, Lung, Kidney, Liver, Pancreas and Bone Marrow) to get together and support each other, secondly - it’s all about motivating a better quality of mind and body through positive exercise.

The club has been set up by former Wales Transplant footballer, Ywain Shakespeare, with a view of representing the Cities organ transplant community at major transplant footballing events within the area and across the UK, there is also opportunity to represent England and Team GB at transplant football events.

They have a great coach’s by team as well as nutritional support for users, but could always do with more support off the field if anyone has any time on their hands.

The sessions are free to attend and happen every fortnight - for more information follow the club on social media or email [email protected]
