Sean Daly - Life on lockdown
Sean Daly - Life on lockdown
1. How are you finding life during lockdown? Very strange being at home. I like to be around the office, getting involved in day to day delivery of the trust’s work and meeting people face to face so I've had to adjust to online meetings via Zoom.
2. What has your routine been during lockdown? Important to keep the same routine pattern as if I was at the office. Starting the working day at 8am and planning the day ahead. I've also spent time catching up on paperwork and things you would generally never normally have time for.
3. How have you managed to stay positive (if you have during this period)? I have a little boy of 4 That just wants to play football outside every five minutes, so he keeps the place positive. I am getting to spend some quality time with the family, which I think we all miss out on at times due to being too busy and occupied with work.
4. Have you engaged in upskilling of any kind? Tried some cooking for the family which did not go well so i think I will leave it to my wife. I've also enrolled on a Football Business course at the moment which I hope I'm able to utilise for the betterment of the Trust once we overcome the current crisis.
5. How do you feel about having no football at this moment in time? We all miss the beautiful game, during this time we need to focus on people’s health and their safety. Football will return and I'm sure we all anticipating this return but we must prioritise the health of the nation.
6. What you're looking forward to post lockdown? The trust has developed a new three year business plan so I'm looking forward to taking that forward. We were due to host a charity evening with Teddy Sheringham and Tony Cascarino before the lockdown so we will be working on getting that rearranged.
7. Do you have a final message for the local community? Continue to stay safe and follow guidance given by the Government. We will come out of this stronger. Myself and the MCT staff are looking forward to positively impacting the lives of people within our community.
