Paul Stewart was at The Den on Thursday afternoon as the former England international ran a Safeguarding workshop for Millwall Community Trust and Club staff.
MCT Staff were joined by Millwall Academy staff, Club staff and club CEO Steve Kavanagh.
Stewart, who suffered four years of abuse by a coach at a grassroots football club aged just 11, taught those in attendance of the practices behind successful Safeguarding among much more.
Millwall Community Trust and Millwall Football Club is dedicated to raising the awareness of the importance of Safeguarding to its staff, to protect youngsters within its Academy and Community Trust initiatives. Stewart spoke about his own personal and traumatic experiences and also provided guidance around the use of social media and the full awareness of the threats it can pose to young people.
Thanks for coming in, Paul!
