Millwall Community Trust held its fourth annual Santa Dash event on Saturday morning which saw over 60 participants complete the fun run.
The occasion that takes place yearly saw Lions fans and local residents enjoying the festive jog once again on the weekend before Millwall’s Championship fixture against Huddersfield Town.
The Millwall Santa Dash took place for the very first time in 2019 and is an annual event in the diary where adults and children dress up in Blue Santa outfits and Elf costumes to complete the short circuit.
Participants ran from The Den to St. Paul’s Sports Ground in Rotherhithe and back before finally doing a lap of the famous Millwall stadium to complete the four kilometres and earn themselves a gold medal.
The awards were presented by Millwall FC Head Coach Joe Edwards as the participants crossed the finish line just in front of the first-team dugout.
Millwall Community Trust CEO, Sean Daly said: “It was another successful Santa Dash on Saturday morning, and it was great to see so many people enjoying themselves, the event is a great social event for supporters , thanks to Joe for as always supporting the trust’s community work and giving out the medals to participants”.
