Millwall Community Trust celebrated local community heroes at The Den on Saturday afternoon as part of the EFL’s first-ever Community Weekend.
Up and down the country from Friday 12th-Saturday 20th January, clubs, managers and players will mark the incredible work that community staff and volunteers deliver 365 days per year.
The Community Weekend activation showed the breadth and depth of Millwall’s community work to match-going fans across the League.
Millwall Football Club and Millwall Community Trust identified local community champions who are great advocates for the community work the club completes in the local area and celebrated their work.
The following advocates were nominated as The Lions' EFL Community Champions and were presented with certificates by Shaun Hutchinson, Ryan Leonard, George Saville and Tom Bradshaw and Millwall Community Trust CEO Sean Daly on the pitch prior to kick-off on Saturday afternoon.
