Millwall Community Trust (MCT) Player Ambassadors Aidomo Emakhu and Brooke Norton-Cuffy visited our St Paul’s Sports Ground, Rotherhithe Holiday Camp.
MCT runs in excess of 100 football and multisport courses across 13 weeks of the year in the London Boroughs of Lewisham, Southwark, and Kent. As a registered charity, all proceeds go back into MCT’s work at the heart of the community.
Norton-Cuffy and Emakhu started their visit by watching the children take part in small sided football activities before encouraging from the sidelines.
After this, all children were given the opportunity to ask the duo questions they’ve always wanted to know the answer to.
Following the Q&A, Norton-Cuffy and Emakhu made themselves available to sign shirts, programmes and other memorabilia which children will get to keep.
Tim Sells, Football and Sports Development Manager at Millwall Community Trust, summed up the event beautifully, stating: “What an unbelievable afternoon for the children at St Paul’s Sports Ground today.
“The impact these sorts of sessions can have on children is massive and thank you to Brooke Norton-Cuffy and Aidomo Emakhu for coming down and inspiring the next generation."
