Millwall Lionesses defeated Bognor Regis Town 4-2 at Nyewood Lane on Sunday afternoon.

The victory means that Ted Jones’ side advance into the Quarter Finals of the League Cup.

Millwall started the better and nearly took the lead as Florrie Winfield’s effort cannoned into the bar.

But four minutes later, The Lionesses did take the lead as Esme Johnson found the back of the net after a nice pass from Alice Wood.

Following on from that, the half petered out with both sides looking for that opening.

The second half, however started much quicker as Johnson doubled the lead with an excellent strike from distance.

The hosts pulled one back a couple of minutes later before equalising with twenty minutes to go after a ricochet in the area fell to their midfielder to fire home.

Millwall went back in front after a delightful move. Lucy Jellett found Esme Johnson who’s cross found Ciara Watling to tap home.

It was four as the clock struck 87 minutes as Watling got her second with a good finish from close range.
