Millwall Lionesses defeated Sporting London Benfica 3-0 at Rectory Park on Sunday afternoon.
Ted Jones’ side backed up a 4-2 victory against Bognor Regis Town with a comfortable victory to take them into the Christmas break.
Millwall started well and nearly took the lead after eight minutes as Mia Lockett’s header went just wide from a Ciara Watling delivery.
They continued to dominate possession and the chances but it took until the 39th minute to break the deadlock. Lockett got to the byline before pulling it back to Victoria Lussambo to fire home from close range.
It was two just four minutes later as Watling found Florrie Winfield who curled home a beauty to get her first for the Lionesses first-team.
Twelve minutes after the restart Millwall added a third. Alice Wood found the bottom corner from the edge of the box.
Following this, The Lionesses continued to look for more goals but had to settle for three in the end after some good saves from the hosts stopper.
