Firstly, I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year.

It was pleasing to see the Lionesses continue their development and improvement as they kick on into the second half of the season with a good performance and win against Herne Bay last Sunday to start 2025.

Ted, Jack and Jordan have worked hard and collaborated diligently to prepare the players including those injured with a bespoke fitness and training programme to ensure the players maintain their fitness, rehabilitation during the winter break so performance is maintained.

We had good support on Sunday with our fans creating a good and lively atmosphere at St Paul’s before, during and after the game. Your support and encouragement has been inspiring so please carry on being there for them.

I would like to praise the attitude and dedication of the players who have been injured long and short term. To see these players regularly attending midweek training and games to support and help the coaches and teammates has been nothing short of outstanding as they continue their own rehab and recovery.

This level of dedication alongside the unity and care for each other has been very much part of our growth and continual improvement of performance and results both on and off the field.

Talking off the field we would like to thank Demelza Children’s Hospice in Eltham for hosting us before Christmas to meet staff and patients. It was a truly humbling and inspiring moment for Sharna, Mia and Jordan. We hope to visit Demelza again during the season.

Turning to Sunday we welcome the visit of Dorking Wanderers which again will be a challenging test but I'm sure the squad and management staff are up for it.

We will continue to work hard together alongside the trust, club, fans and communities as well as seeking further exciting opportunities to continue our development in 2025.
