Millwall Community Trust launched their new Employability skills Hub stall on match day last weekend against Queens Park Rangers.

The Employability skills Hub stall is based next to the bag drop or opposite the Barry Kitchener Stand and is a satellite of MCT recently launched Youth Employability and IAG Hub based at the Lion centre in partnership with DWP.

The Employability skills Hub stall on match days will showcase Employment and training opportunities and also IAG support including leaflets, flyers, and laptop on hand to help you register for related opportunities and support for example free construction CSCS courses provided by one of partners Skill Centre.

If you’re looking to upskill or explore other training opportunities, we’re happy to chat. Whether you’re seeking employment, training, or simply some advice on your career situation, we’re here for you—stop by and have a conversation with us. We’re here to help!

John Scarborough, MCT’s Education and Employability Manager said: “Saturday was great to get our satellite employment and skills mini hub stall up and running within the ground and massive thanks to the Skill Centre and their Ambassador Duane Ramsay for leading the launch as one of the trust key HUB employment and training partners going forward.

“There is such great footfall on match days and is prime opportunity for fans to not just watch a match but also get a job or get onto a training course on the same day.”

Duane Ramsey, Skills Centre Ambassador said: “Saturday marked the first day that the Skills Centre, alongside MCT, RBL, and Homewood Group, was present at a match day event, promoting construction opportunities and wider employment and training support. Our goal at Skill centre for being there is clear: we want to make it known that we’re here to listen, offer advice, and provide support.

“Many of those fans attending Saturday’s match are involved in construction in some form, or know someone in the industry. There is an employment hub at MCT available during the week, and we’re eager to use this space to help create pathways into construction and other fields. Last Saturday was just the beginning—look out for us on future match days!”
