Millwall Community Trust celebrated local community heroes at The Den on Tuesday evening.

Local heroes from EFL Clubs have been recognised and celebrated for the impact they make in their communities as part of the EFL’s Community Weekends.

Across the period, club's, managers, and players have acknowledged the vital work that community staff and volunteers deliver 365 days per year.

The activation showed the breadth and depth of Millwall’s community work to match-going fans across the League.

Millwall Football Club and Millwall Community Trust identified local community champions who are great advocates for the community work the club completes in the local area and celebrated their work.

Advocates were nominated as The Lions' EFL Community Champions and were presented with certificates by Shaun Hutchinson, Ryan Leonard, Ajay Matthews and Macauley Langstaff prior to kick-off on Tuesday evening.

Millwall Community Trust CEO, Sean Daly said: "Tuesday evening was a great opportunity for us to showcase our advocates of the Community Trust.

“Thank you to every single one of them for all their hard work in our local community."
