Millwall’s girls’ side came second in the group stages picking up 12 points in the process.

The side were defeated 2-0 in the final against Watford in another brilliant match.

Despite the defeats in the finals, both sides will play in the National Finals at St George’s Park in the summer.

Throughout the day there were some excellent workshops which all participants took part in which included Anti Bullying, Mika Motivation and Metropolitan Police with each one being very engaging.

Joubin Sarrami, Millwall Community Trust’s Community Manager, said: “Thank you to the Premier League Charitable Fund and Charlton Athletic’s Community Trust for creating a once in a lifetime opportunity for the young people we work with.

“The ambassadors, volunteers, workers and players we create within our communities through the programme are an inspiration and gives us all a sense of pride and determination to continue the hard work we all do every day.“

“I would like to thank the three organisations for delivering some excellent workshops throughout the day.

"Congratulations to the winners Watford and we look forward to attending the National Finals in the Summer."
