Millwall Community Trust and Royal British Legion would like to thank The Homewood Group for covering the costs of our Military Veteran Coffee Morning’s going forward.

The programme in partnership with Military Veteran Football Club provides ex-forces personnel from across London an opportunity to play football via access to Millwall Community Trust’s indoor Lions Centre 3G on Thursday's between 6pm-7pm as well as running Coffee Morning’s on Saturday mornings.

The coffee mornings provides an opportunity for our Military Veterans and serving personnel to come together in a safe and secure environment.

At our coffee morning’s, tea, and coffee as well as biscuits are provided which will now be paid for by The Homewood Group.

Jill Merrett, Royal British Legion County Community Support Co-ordinator Greater London District and Branch Chairman said: “As a Branch we depend on the support of the community to aid us in support of the veterans, so when a company like Homewood steps in to aid us, we can do so much more. We are eternally grateful.”

Daniele Lucia, Director at The Homewood Group said: “We work closely with ex-forces within the group and wanted to support the amazing work that both Jill and MCT do.”

John Scarborough, MCT’s Education and Employability Manager, said: “We would like to thank Daniele and Homewood for this incredible gesture.

“The coffee morning’s help support our Military Veterans, and this contribution will go a long way in aiding to continue to provide this service for them.”
