Our Millwall Pan Disability teams have had a busy and exciting time recently, taking part in tournaments and friendly matches that showed how much they’ve improved — both as players and as teams.

Three of our adult teams, representing the Championship and League 1, proudly played in the final round of the ‘Friendship League’, hosted by the Southwark Stars. The Championship teams worked really hard and played with great energy. In one exciting game, they came back from 3–0 down and narrowly lost 5–4 in the end. Even though they didn’t win, we were so proud of their determination, teamwork, and never-give-up attitude.

It was also great to see them using the skills we’ve been practicing in training, like better passing, communication, and working together as a team. Playing strong teams is helping us get better every time, and we’re closing the gap.

In the same tournament tournament, our League 1 team were fantastic and won! After coming second last time, this was a great reward for their hard work and team play. Their passing, movement, and support for each other were brilliant.

Our adult players also took part in the Bromley Cup for the first time — and what a day it was! The team played brilliantly, won their group, and made it all the way to the final, finishing in an amazing second place. It was a proud achievement, but more than that, it was a fantastic day out for both players and parents, full of smiles, support, and team spirit. We’re already looking forward to taking part again next year!

While our adult teams were busy in their tournaments, our Under-17 team also had an amazing experience — they travelled to the Arsenal Hub to play a friendly match against Arsenal’s U17 team. The players also got a chance to see the Emirates Stadium, which made the day even more special.

The match was a real thriller, ending in a 7–7 draw. Our young Lions played really well, showing great teamwork by passing the ball, keeping their positions, and staying strong as a group. It was fantastic to see them using what we’ve been practising and showing real team spirit on and off the pitch.

They also behaved brilliantly throughout the journey and the game. We are so proud of their effort, attitude, and how they supported one another.

A big thank you to all the parents and carers who helped with the trip and cheered on the team — your support helped make the day feel like a home match!

These matches and tournaments are not just about football. They help our players build confidence, learn new skills, and grow closer as a team.

Well done to all our players — Lions of all ages — for showing what Millwall Pan Disability Football is all about!
