Millwall Community Trust (MCT) Veteran Football programme welcomed Sunderland’s Military Veteran Football Club (MVFC) to St Paul’s Sports Ground on Saturday morning.
The programme in partnership with Military Veteran Football Club provides ex-forces personnel from across London an opportunity to play football via access to Millwall Community Trust’s indoor Lions Centre 3G on Thursday's between 8pm-9pm.
The programme also works with ex Forces Charities and support agencies and provide wrap around education, employability and health and well being support to attendees and Millwall ex forces volunteer ambassadors through CPD and workshops from armed forces charities and organisations and Millwall Community Trust’s Employability support team.
In what a competitive but well spirited match, Millwall’s Military Veterans won 4-3 before they headed to The Den to watch Millwall beat QPR 2-0 in a London derby.
