Millwall Community Trust (MCT) and Millwall Football Club midfielder Billy Mitchell presented Jim Maycock with the first-ever Tim Sells Award ahead of Saturday’s fixture against Oxford United.
The award is named in memory of Tim Sells, the Trust’s former Football & Sports Development Manager, who passed away last year. It recognises people who have made a real difference through their work in the community - something Tim was hugely passionate about.
Jim’s contribution reflects that same commitment. His dedication and the impact he’s had on those he works with made him a clear choice for this year’s award.
MCT CEO Sean Daly said: “Jim’s been a fantastic example of what this award stands for. He gives his time, energy and care to the people around him and that doesn’t go unnoticed.
“Tim meant a lot to everyone here, and it’s important that we continue to recognise people who carry on that same spirit. Jim thoroughly deserves this.”
The presentation before kick-off was a chance to recognise both Jim’s efforts and remember Tim’s lasting influence on the Trust and its work across the community.
