The Lions' Remembrance Day fixture against Southampton has seen Millwall fans raise an incredible £24,662.53 for the Royal British Legion.
As shown year after year, supporters have again exemplified their amazing generosity by gathering in their numbers to purchase poppies, bespoke poppy badges and to donate funds.
A pre-match ceremony saw a Bugler play The Last Post - where the teams were also led onto the pitch by three flanking wreath-carrying service personnel.
Each year, the club auctions off match-worn shirts featuring a poppy to raise further funds for the Royal British Legion. 21 shirts were available, including a limited edition poppy frame showcasing a Millwall poppy shirt.
The bidding closed on Sunday 19th November at 2pm, with the auction raising an amazing total of £9,500.80, topping last year's result of £7,743.
This is the third consecutive year Lions fans have raised over £20,000 for the Royal British Legion. Donations allow for expert advice and guidance to be provided, as well as recovery and rehabilitation initiatives to help Armed Forces personnel transition back to civilian life.
The club would like thank all Lions and Southampton supporters for their immense generosity, a special thank you also goes to Mel Bingham, who expertly oversees the fundraising each year.
