Millwall Community Trust and Millwall Football Club partnered with Partnership Southwark and Crisis Rescue Foundation to bring you the first ever Vaxi Taxi/ Health and Wellbeing Pop Up at The Den prior to last night’s match against Ipswich Town.

The Vaxi Taxi/ Health and Wellbeing Pop Up opened at 4:30pm - three-and-a-half hours before kick-off - and gave staff members and supporters from both teams the chance to pop in and get some vital health checks.

Over 100 people attended the pop-up stall throughout the evening.

Crisis Rescue Foundation’s team of health and wellbeing experts offered crucial information and had signposts up to more advice and care, including reducing the risk and spotting signs of heart disease, stroke, cancers (bowel and prostate).

They promoted:

  • preventive care
  • managing stress and other common symptoms of mental health conditions
  • General men’s health and wellbeing

The team offered free blood pressure checks, height, and weight measurements along with free, healthy snacks and toiletry goodie bags.

Sean Daly, Millwall Community Trust’s CEO said: “It was a pleasure to welcome Sharon and the team to The Den on Wednesday evening.

“It was a superb evening where both sets of supporters and staff members were offered the opportunity to get a free health check.

“Thank you to Crisis Rescue Foundation and Southwark Partnership for attending and we look forward to working together again in the future.”
